Lab 7 has announced a new line of threaded pipe waveguides that will cut through long lead times by offering ready-made waveguides in standard sizes. Rather than waiting months for custom pieces, these waveguides will be ready to ship within one business day. They also come with transparent pricing, where what you see is what you pay, allowing for easier budgeting.
Lab 7 understands firsthand the difficulty that sometimes comes with acquiring waveguides. According to Lab 7 president John Baum, the company was running into problems sourcing waveguides for themselves.
“We wanted to solve our own problem so that we could learn how to solve the industry’s problems,” Baum says. With these new waveguides, customers can cut their wait times by months.
These waveguides are available in brass and stainless steel in 2”, 1.5”, 1”, ¾” and ½” diameter. Lab 7 waveguides are made with the intention of blocking or sealing signals within a space. These can be deployed in SCIF construction, essential services building, telecommunications, radar systems and radio frequency engineering. They are built in a 7:1 length to inside diameter ratio in accordance with the Best Practices Guideline for Architectural Radio Frequency Shielding.
Lab 7 uses high-quality brass and steel in their construction. Brass provides excellent conductivity and durability to withstand demanding applications. Steel waveguides also ensure corrosion resistance along with their RF attenuation capabilities, guaranteeing a long lifespan.
Lab 7 can also provide custom sizes for waveguides for customers whose needs aren’t met by the ready-made options, though that will increase the wait time.
“Lab 7 will be able to supply its customers with an excellent product that helps guarantee their accreditation in a timely manner,” Baum says.
Standard shipping is free in the U.S. and volume discounts are available on large orders. If ordering more than ten waveguides, please request a custom quote.
